In between our first boutique hotel Finch Lodge and Brighton Station lies the Craft Beer Co Brighton outpost, a traditional style pub with a modern serving of craft beers. Part of modern beer culture involves sampling and enjoying as wide a range of beers as possible and we’re happy to report that Craft Beer Co Brighton has over 24 taps hosting a variety of styles.
The draft list is constantly rotated but we’ve usually found Lumina and Soundwave from Siren Brewing and Lilley’s Mango Cider available, however, Craft Beer Co do get a continuous stream of special editions such as No Socks in the Sauna, a collaboration between Heist Brew Co and Stigbergets Bryggeri.
Like all great pubs, dogs are welcome and private rooms are available.
The location is ideal for us as a stop off point inbetween Finch Lodge and Brighton Train Station but isn’t close to many other places, it’ll be a couple minutes walk to hit central Brighton or Hove in opposite directions.
However, that does mean that it’s located out of the way and isn’t directly exposed to the high street or other pubs. You’re not likely to get rowdy parties coming by nor a constant stream of traffic, taxis, buses, etc. We’ve quite happily had a chat and a beer outside on the pavement during a Friday afternoon.
The Craft Beer Co is very focused on beer, so food is only available when a guest kitchen is operating at that time. We’ve not been about when a kitchen is operating so expect bar snacks and welcome food if available. At time of writing Big G’s Burgers are available for lunch and evening hours for most of the week. This is our local for when we want a more exotic beverage and a breather. There’s always interesting drinks, wonderful staff and service and a calm, welcoming setting.
