The Blind Busker is a short walk from Finch Lodge located on Church Road / Western Road - essentially the main road through both Brighton and Hove. At first glance it’s a standard mainstream pub, however, deep inside lies a secret only known to those that stay to eat…
Very few plates I struggle with, however, this took some effort. Thankfully I was graced with a helping of seasoned mash, thick gravy and some delicious crisped roasted veggies to keep me distracted whilst I tackled the behemoth. You can tell by my Neck Oil above that this is over one pint worth of pie. Astonishing.
Whilst the pie is the star of the show I also want to state that I’ve never enjoyed cabbage until I ate the cabbage at The Blind Busker. It was crispy, seasoned and truly delicious side. I don’t quite know how they did it, but I’ve never had anything like it.
Aside from pies they also provide your regular ensemble of burgers, traditional pub mains and wings.
We found the Blind Busker before we had any property down in Brighton, having stopped there whilst completing some business elsewhere and not quite ready to head back to London. The interior is broken up into separate areas with each containing a decent amount of seating without becoming overcrowded.
However, given the time of year we wanted a place that would be warm, decorated well and with happy service. We got that and we wish the team at The Blind Busker a Merry Christmas and we’re looking forward to seeing you next year! Give them a visit before the decorations come down!
